Job Duties

As a Taxpayer Services Administrator 3, you would act as a director within the Office of Processing and Taxpayer Services or a major program operation. You would disseminate policies and guidelines within the scope of departmental policies and the directives of management; formulate goals, objectives, priorities, and work plans; direct the development of new and revised work processes and operating procedures; measure and monitor volume of work, efficiency of systems, and section production levels; and collaborate with counterparts in meeting the goals and objectives of the Department.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination to be considered for this position.

On or before the date of the examination, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance or the Division of Tax Appeals and have had three months permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as follows:

As a Taxpayer Services Administrator 2 OR as a Taxpayer Services Administrator 1.
