Job Duties

Parks & Recreation Aides, in general, assist in the maintenance and operation of the Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation and the Department of Environmental Conservation facilities and properties that exist throughout New York State.  The majority of these positions exist in the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation.

The level of the titles within this career ladder vary based on the level of supervision, complexity of the duties involved, degree of independent judgment, etc.
