Job Duties

Advocacy Specialists, in general, under the direct supervision of senior-level staff, will be responsible for: - monitoring, reviewing, and recording the monthly and yearly programmatic and fiscal reports of all federally funded programs; - assisting in the preparation of periodic federally required reports regarding advocacy activities; - preparing and submitting for computer data entry all client-based statistical data for all federally funded programs; - administering the programmatic client record tracking systems established for our federally funded programs; - preparing monthly program summaries for each of our federally funded programs; - preparing and updating instructional and training materials for all federally funded programs; - participating in Advocacy Services Bureau conferences and public information efforts and assisting in advocacy skills' training to consumers, patients, family gorups, and other interested parties; - providing initial intake services for persons seeking services from the Commission's Advocacy Services Bureau.

The level of the titles within this career ladder vary based on the level of supervision, complexity of the duties involved, degree of independent judgment, etc.
