Job Duties

Student Loan Control Representatives 3 plan and supervise the daily operations of individual offices and functions consisting of two or more units and coordinate activities with other bureau staff to support overall operational goals in the collection or aversion of defaulted student loans guaranteed by the Higher Education Services Corporation.

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination to be considered for appointment to this position.  

For qualified employees of New York State on or before the date of the examination, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Student Loan Control Representative 2 or Student Loan Control Representative 2 (Spanish Language).
