Job Duties

As an Associate Administrative Analyst, you would supervise Administrative Analysts and support staff in conducting studies, analyzing and evaluating organizations or segments of organizations and their work, developing recommendations to assist management in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of programs and operations management and in identifying and solving administrative and management problems. You may also personally perform analysis of the more complex organizational problems; review, coordinate, and update organizational policy, administrative and procedural manuals; assist in the development and implementation of operating systems; and exercise forms design and usage control.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.

For employees of New York State, on or before the date of the examination, you must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Senior Administrative Analyst, Administrative Analyst Trainee 2, or Administrative Analyst Trainee 1.
