Job Duties

Under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner, the Director of Identification Operations provides overall direction and management of activities of the Bureau of Identification and Criminal History Operation; advises the Deputy Commissioner and executive staff on issues concerning identification implementations; develops and recommends policy; confers and coordinates with program director; oversees budget planning and development for the Bureau; and serves as agency liaison and representative on identification related issues.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.
Candidates must have ten years of high level public sector experience dealing with complex criminal justice policy issues affecting large numbers of people, inmates or records in the criminal justice system. Such experience must include at least five years providing recommendations to high level government officials based on the analysis of proposed public policy, legislation, or system-wide procedural changes; and at least four years directing operations of an agency, large division, or facility (over 300 employees) containing a complex automated criminal justice related information system.
