Summary of Minimum Qualifications

On or before the last date for filing applications, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Education Department and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service:

Either 1. as an Associate in Business and Marketing Education, Associate in Continuing Education, Associate in Health Occupations Education, Associate in Home Economics Education, Associate in Occupational Education (Civil Rights), Associate in Occupational Education Program Development, Associate in Occupational Education Program Planning, Associate in Occupational School Supervision, Associate in Special Occupational Education Services, Associate in Technology and Technical Education or Associate in Trade and Industrial Education.
Or 2. in a title allocated to G-26 or higher in the Office of Workforce Preparation and Continuing Education where at least 50% of your duties were concentrated in career, technical or adult education programs and must have included designing and developing curricula and examinations, administering and monitoring grants and contracts, or providing specialized training and technical assistance in career and technical education to local education agencies or BOCES.
