Job Duties

As a Senior Dental Assistant, you would supervise, train, and evaluate Dental Assistants; assist in the training of dental students; perform dental supportive services under a licensed dentist's direct supervision; perform office support and clerical work to meet the requirements of the dental facility; and perform light housekeeping tasks following current infection control and OSHA guidelines.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.  

On or before the date of the examination, you must be a qualified employee of the State University of New York at Buffalo or the State University of New York at Stony Brook and have had three months of permanent non-competitive service as a Dental Assistant.
