Job Duties

As a Health Systems Specialists, under the general supervision of a higher-level Health Systems Specialist or other equivalent supervisory title, you would independently or as a member of a team (i.e., a multi-disciplinary survey team, medical review or audit team, or Central or Regional Office regulatory program team), perform program surveillance, medical or program review, audit, and regulatory activities. You may conduct and/or facilitate on-site surveys; evaluate records and billings against applicable laws and regulations; and draft and/or review Statements or Notices of Deficiencies, Plans of Correction, investigative reports, and survey information against Statewide standards.

Trainees will receive a combination of structured training, on-the-job training, and/or practical job performance to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to function at the full performance level.
