Job Duties

As a Senior Consumer Frauds Representative, Spanish Language, you would, under the general supervision of an Assistant Attorney General, mediate complaints directly with the individual or business representatives involved. You would also conduct investigations and assist the Assistant Attorneys General in preparing fraud cases for trial. You would also conduct consumer outreach programs and deliver consumer education talks to schools, organizations and other groups. In addition, you may supervise student interns.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.

Candidates must have completed 60 semester credit hours at a regionally accredited college or university, or a paralegal certificate from a school or institute recognized by the American Bar Association, AND one year of experience where more than half your time was spent dealing with the general public in a sales or consumer/customer service or problem resolution capacity.

If you are selected for appointment as a Senior Consumer Frauds Representative (Spanish Language), you will be required to demonstrate proficiency in that language. Proficiency must be at a level which will permit you to perform the duties of the position satisfactorily.
