Job Duties

Compliance Assistants are assigned to the Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in the Bureau of Nutrition.  This program attempts to impove the health of yound children in high rist groups through impoving the ability of families at risk to purchase nutritionally important foods.  Incumbents pose as WIC recipients and shop at WIC contracted stores to test for compliance with the mandates of the program.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

This title is non-competitive.  No examination is necessary.  However, you must still meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position.

Candidates must have Two years' experience performing paraprofessional duties assiting in the conduct of investigations OR Two years of paraprofessional experience in a health or human service agency at the State or local level, such as community relations or outreach representative activities related to health or human services provided to minority or low income populations.
