Job Duties

STATE FAIR WORKER, under the guidance of a Laborer, performs a limited range of labor tasks requiring light to medium physical effort, usually out-of-doors:  clears trash and rubbish from roadways, sidewalks and buildings; clears drainage ditches and catch basins; cuts grass and brush using a power mower; plants flowers; removes manure from building and roadways during horse shows; loads, unloads and moves equipment, furniture and supplies; prepares buildings for shows by setting up chairs, tables, props and other paraphernalia; folds and stores chairs and tables after the show; and sweeps and cleans buildings.
