Job Duties

SUPERVISOR DRILLING OPERATIONS: supervises the Main Office Drill Supervisors; advises and assists the regional drill crews about drilling in difficult and unique situations; inspects and approves equipment used in drilling contracts; provides technical support to drilling contractors; assists engineers and others in writing drilling contracts; plans ways to improve drilling methods for State drill crews; develops specifications for upgrading State drilling equipment; works with the Equipment Management Division in planning drill rig, barge, and support vehicle replacement patterns; and plans and implements training programs for State drilling personnel.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

This title is non-competitive.  No examination is necessary.  However, you must still meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position.

Candidates must have Two years of permanent service as a Drill Supervisor.
