Job Duties

The Print Equipment Operator title series was created effective October 12, 2017, and consolidated a wide variety of printing related titles. visit Frequently Asked Questions  for further information regarding this consolidation.

As a Print Operations Manager, you would oversee the largest print shops as determined by the number of operational staff. You would also  manage and direct the technical and maintenance activities of the largest print shops and assign and approve completed work; supervise subordinate operators and support staff; provide print shop production records and fiscal requirements for budget purposes; oversee appropriate training and development needs of subordinate staff; and oversee maintenance of shop records.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

This title is non-competitive.  No examination is necessary.  However, you must still meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position.  You must have  six years of offset printing equipment operating experience, two years of which must have been at a supervisory level; or one year of service as a Print Operations Supervisor.
