As an Addictions Program Specialist 1, you would have responsibility for a wide range of professional, administrative, and technical tasks associated with addictions prevention, treatment, and recovery systems. Under the supervision of a higher level Addictions Program Specialist, you would serve as a member of a team assisting with program review; provide technical assistance and/or aid with program operations; and assist with the review of program certification and/or professional addictions credentialing applications, and requests for new services. You would also prepare and present addictions prevention and education materials to community groups; prepare written plans for services in specific areas; research, collect, and analyze reports/data; and assist with the development of professional skills programs for
counselors.
