Job Duties

As a Motor Vehicle Program Manager 2, under the general direction of a Motor Vehicle Program Manager 3 or higher, you would, with wide latitude in the exercise of discretion and independent judgment, be responsible for directing and coordinating a program, or a region within a major program area.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.  

On or before the date of examination, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55 b/55-c service in a position allocated to grade 23 or higher.

After one year of the service described in the Minimum Qualifications, successful candidates will be qualified for appointment from the eligible list.
