Summary of Job Description

Under the general direction of the Housing Finance Agency Program Coordinator, the Housing Finance Agency Program Coordinator Housing Portfolio monitors projects funded through the Housing Finance Agency’s tax-free municipal bonds, notes and other obligations, for ongoing financial and management evaluation in order to protect the agency’s and bondholders’ financial interest and to insure repayment of loans, notes and other obligations.  You would administer State and Federal grants for the repair of rehabilitation and improvement of low and moderate income housing funded by tax-exempt municipal bonds.  You would also administer mortgages funded by the Housing Finance Agency in order to insure and enforce the payment of debt service and related escrows under the terms of the various bond and mortgage documents.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.
Candidates must have a four-year college degree AND four years of experience with a private or governmental financial institution involved in the acquisition of housing projects consisting of 50 units or more.
