Summary of Job Description

As an Addictions Planning Analyst 2, you would develop and draft major issue papers and segments of major planning documents, or develop and apply criteria for requests for new program initiatives and program modifications.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.

There are two examinations held for this position.  Please note:  New York State employees may qualify for both.  

For qualified employees of New York State on or before the date of filing application, candidates must be a qualified employee of the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and have had three months experience as an Addictions Planning Analyst 1.

For all other qualified individuals, candidates must have a bachelorís degree in any field AND three years experience in addictions or health services planning in the areas of policy analysis and design; comparative analysis; federal, state, and/or local planning; needs assessment; and methodology.
