As a Convention & Arts Center Operations Coordinator, you would provide information to organizations regarding availability of facilities and equipment; process applications for facility usage; review applications to ensure compliance with OGS policies and procedures; recommend user fees, accounting for set-up and break-down time and special services; develop detailed operations staging plan for events and maintains booking log; coordinate support services necessary for successful staging of events; advise management when unusually large crowds are expected necessitating additional security and parking; coordinate delivery and resolve conflicts of special equipment by providing building access to authorized users at scheduled times; prepare reports related to facility usage; supervise contract staff in performance of manual tasks required to set-up or dismantle events, including directing placement of furniture, stages, sound systems, special lighting and other equipment specified; and, may supervise labor and cleaning staff.
