Job Duties

As an Associate in Education Improvement Services, you would have responsibility to develop, conduct, support, and review one or more Department programs which assist schools in improving the delivery of educational services, providing safe school environments, and/or providing oversight of grant programs germane to elementary, middle, and secondary education. Many of the educational programs are designed for academically and/or economically disadvantaged or at-risk students. Administrative activities might include but are not limited to: reviewing, evaluating, and processing school or program improvement plans; local educational agency's (LEAs) individual or consolidated grant applications and/or proposals, and budget proposals; providing support to district and school leaders as they create, and implement improvement plans; conducting on-site and in-office monitoring to review State or Federally funded programs or grants; preparing written materials such as reports, policy documents, regulation updates, etc.; developing educational resources and/or programs; and planning and conducting workshops and training programs. You may also serve as the lead liaison for large and more difficult projects, and may supervise professional and/or support staff.
