Summary of Job Description

As an Assistant in Education Research, you would:

Outline study assignments and methodologies, submit them to superiors for approval, and revise as recommended.

Develop tools for obtaining data, including formulating questionnaires, schedules, tests, and interview outlines.

Plan and execute data analysis projects, including securing data, planning, quality control, evaluation and presentation of data analysis to higher level staff and senior management.

Compose reports embodying conclusions and, after critical review by superiors, rewrite the report as necessary.

When collaborating with higher ranking research personnel, analyze information gathered; participate in drafting the report; and, in all stages of the study, collaborate with superiors in planning the study and critically analyzing objectives, methods and conclusions.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.

On or before the date of the examination, the candidate must have a master’s degree AND three years of professional experience where your primary duty is research. Two years of this experience must have been involved primarily with research on educational issues or topics.
