Job Duties

As a Building Construction Program Manager 1, you will coordinate and guide capital construction programs through the planning, design, and construction stages and serve as the focal point for communication among various involved parties. You will be responsible for disseminating information, identifying problems, and ensuring that timely decisions are made to keep projects on schedule and within budgeted costs while meeting clients' needs. You will also plan, schedule, and coordinate in-house, leased properties and consultant building construction projects from inception to completion to ensure that required work is completed within acceptable time and cost limitations; prepare detailed statements of the assignments of all participants in projects at hand, and draw up schedules and plans of operation for building construction projects in close consultation with architects, client agencies, and representatives of the Division of the Budget and other Office of General Services staff.
