Job Duties

In the Library Development Specialist 2 (Conservation), you would:

Plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate a program to assist research and other libraries, historical societies, museums, and other agencies in establishing conservation and preservation activities.

Review and evaluate applications submitted by such cultural agencies for competitive grants, monitors progress of both established and competitive grants, and provides technical assistance and guidance.

Assist, evaluate, and monitor research libraries for plans.

Develop statewide programs in cooperation with libraries, other entities such as the State Museum and the State Archives and Records Administration, professional library organizations, and other concerned with conservation and preservations.

Provide conservation and preservation advisory and consultant services to libraries in New York State.
