Job Duties

As a Senior Superintendent of Construction, you would perform and/or oversee construction supervision and inspection on large building projects to ensure adherence to specifications, contracts, and good work standards. You would prepare or supervise the preparation of construction reports and expedite the execution of contracts. You may be reassigned on a temporary or permanent basis to any project in the state regardless of location. You may also supervise Assistant or Junior Superintendents of Construction or contractors. At the Department of Environmental Conservation, you would perform similar duties for buildings and other structures which include, but are not limited to, dams, bridges, and boat launches. You may be reassigned on a temporary or permanent basis to any project in the state regardless of location.
