Job Duties

As a Homeland Security Training Facility Assistant Director, you would:

Coordinate the development, implementation and administration of the State Preparedness Training Center.

Confer with representatives of both State and local entities in an effort to satisfy the training needs of individual agencies, and relating those needs to prescribed federal guidelines.

Research funding sources and secure resources to provide for the needs of the Training Center.

Supervise the recruitment and development of instructors.

Participate in and conduct needs assessment meetings to determine current training requirements and the best approach for meeting those needs.

Coordinate the research of new training methods, materials and technology.

Supervise the development and implementation of monitoring programs designed to measure participation in individual programs, course completion, client satisfaction, and the efficacy of the curriculum.

Observe and evaluate classroom presentations, and the range of other instructional delivery methods.

Supervise the development and implementation of review mechanisms used for client agencies and training participants to assess the quality and effectiveness of course curriculum and instructors.

Assist in budget preparation; manage expenditures.

Perform the full range of administrative supervisory responsibilities.
