Job Duties

As a Park Director 5, you would plan, direct, and coordinate the operations, recreation activities, maintenance programs, and security for large urban parks within the New York City and Long Island Regions.  Park Directors manage and oversee parks that have high attendance generated by the population density of the surrounding communities and the involvement of community organizations in their operations and programs.  As a Park Director 5, you would assist a Regional Director of a largely urban park region serving a diverse clientele.
