Job Duties

As a Dentist 3, you would practice the profession of dentistry consistent with the scope of practice as conveyed in State statute and may perform the same duties as a Dentist 1, plan, organize, and direct the work of a professional and paraprofessional dental staff as prescribed by agency policy and procedures, schedule work and individual treatment, consult with subordinate dentists on problem cases involving acute dental conditions, coordinate dental services with other clinical specialties, review, monitor, and evaluate staff and work products; provide staff training, prepare the budget for the dental program, order and maintain dental equipment and supplies, prepare written reports of dental services rendered by the program, ensure that fully documented records of all dental procedures performed are maintained, perform the full range of supervisory duties, participate in the development of policies and procedures related to dental services.
