As a Teaching Hospital Sterile Supply Technician 1, you would:
Clean, assemble, perform minor repairs, and wrap trays for surgical instruments, equipment, and specialty supplies for sterilization.
Disassemble, sort, clean, inspect, and process medical instruments and equipment.
Ensure that medical instruments, equipment, and supplies are replenished as needed.
Collect reusable items from and dispenses supplies to the needed areas of the hospital.
Maintain, store, and inventory medical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Operate equipment such as ultrasonic and utility washers, and performs specified daily maintenance tasks on the equipment.
Operate sterilization equipment and performs specified daily maintenance tasks.
Perform record keeping duties of the sterilization process for JCAHO requirements and any other mandated requirements.
