Summary of Job Description

As a Claims Services Representative 2, under the general direction of the Claims Services Representative 3, you would provide supervision to Claims Services Representative 1s and Assistant Insurance Fund Services Representatives; monitor staff development and traineeship progress; provide technical assistance/guidance for the more complex, sensitive, or high-cost claims cases; and oversee payment of settlements and awards.

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.

On or before the date of the exam, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Insurance Fund and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service as a: Claims Services Representative 1, Claims Services Representative Trainee 1, Claims Services Representative Trainee 2, Insurance Fund Hearing Representative.
