As a Consumer Representative 1 (DFS), you would handle incoming complaints and inquiries referred by first level call center staff, or through email or regular mail, gathering information from multiple sources and working to mediate and resolve issues between consumers and regulated entitles. You would interact with consumers and company representatives regarding Insurance, Banking, and Financial Services law, as appropriate, to negotiate solutions; prepare reports detailing the process and resolutions; and educate the public about issues related to financial products and services.
