Summary of Job Description

Positions in this title series operate motorized equipment to assist in the systematic collection and documentation of all recyclable materials and by products arriving and departing the state agency grounds.

The positions are classified only at Stony Brook University, State University of New York.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

This title is non-competitive.  No examination is necessary.  However, you must still meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position.

Applicants must be able to complete and submit written reports as required; must be physically able to perform heavy physical labor and wear safety gear and apparel; possess and maintain a valid New York State Class 2, 3 or 5 Commercial Driver License with air brakes and pass pre-employment drug test as well as on going random drug/alcohol testing in compliance with Federal DOT regulations.

In addition, the candidate must demonstrate supervisory skills; have worked in the recycling field for at least one year; be able to develop instructional materials and programs; and provide on-the-job instruction.
