Job Duties

Assistant To Director Of Parole Operations:  Incumbent assists the Director in developing and i,mplementing various Operations policies and procedures.  The incumbent provides day to day management to specific Agency programs and responsibilities including Temporary Release, Transportation and Custody, Use of Deadly Physical Force, and Time Computation.  The incumbent also coordinates/liaisons Agency involvement with various federal, state and local programs and agencies, coordinates the placement and movement of parole violators in state and local facilities, responds to inquiries from the public, attorneys, private and public organizations and other governmental bodies regarding Division policy, procedures and sensitive cases.  The incumbent is required to provide technical assistance to parole staff, conduct sensitive investigations as directed and perform other special projects.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

This title is non-competitive.  No examination is necessary.  However, you must still meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and Three years experience at a professional level in an agency responsible for supervision of criminal offenders in the community and/or which provides administrative or casework services involving parolee or inmate preparation for parole supervision.  One year of this experience must have included substantial responsibility for controlling movement of parole violators or supervision of a temporary release program or for preparation of and implementation of operational policieis and procedures.
