The Division of Veterans' Affairs, through benefits counseling and advocacy, assists veterans, their families, and survivors in obtaining various economic, medical, and social benefits available from federal, State, and local governments as a result of the veteran's military service. The Division also helps active-duty military personnel and their families, and administers an annuity to visually-impaired veterans and eligible unremarried surviving spouses.
