Summary of Job Description

As a Director Investments and Cash Management, you would manage and direct the Investments and Cash Management Bureau to ensure that statutorily mandated fiduciary responsibilities are discharged with fidelity and prudence. You would conduct strategic long range planning for all areas of Bureau operations, direct the Division of Treasury’s short and long investment program, establish work plans and objectives, monitor and evaluate Bureau performance and productivity, develop and implement internal controls, and oversee implementation of operating techniques to take advantage of new technological enhancements. You may advise on legislation initiatives, financial industry practices and technical developments in the fields of cash management and institutional investment.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

On or before the date of examination you must have:

Either 1.    a bachelor’s degree in finance, public administration, economics, accounting or business administration AND seven years of full time experience in the analysis and oversight of an investment portfolio of at least $1 billion with a large public or private sector institution with two years of the experience at a managerial level;

Or 2.    status as a Certified Cash Manager or a Chartered Financial Analyst and six years of full time experience in the analysis and oversight of an investment portfolio of at least $1 billion with a large public or private sector institution with two years of the experience at a managerial level;

Or 3.   a master’s degree in finance, public administration, economics, accounting or business administration AND six years of full time experience in the analysis and oversight of an investment portfolio of at least $1 billion with a large public or private sector institution with two years of the experience at a managerial level;

Or 4.    a master’s degree in finance, public administration, economics, accounting or business administration AND status as a Certified Cash Manager or a Chartered Financial Analyst AND five years of full time experience in the analysis and oversight of an investment portfolio of at least $1 billion with a large public or private sector institution with two years of the experience at a managerial level.
