Job Duties

As a Director Tax Processing, you would:

Direct the Office of Processing and Taxpayer Services.

Supervise program directors; establish the goals, objectives, and priorities for the office.

Develop operating policies and procedures; ensure the consistent implementation of procedures for all programs within the office; maintain internal controls; and monitor programs performance.

Direct the analysis of recommendations for legislative, policy, and procedural changes.

Prepare the office's budget request; evaluate resource needs.

Oversee the Tax Preparer Registration program.

Ensure the development of procedures and policies to mitigate refund fraud.

Research and review industry refund fraud detection initiatives for solutions.

Oversee marketing efforts for the electronic filing of tax returns.

Advise executive management on office operations; office resources and staffing needs; programs performance results; and organizational issues.

May lead special projects as authorized by executive management.
