Job Duties
As a Taxpayer Services Administrator 3, you would act as a director within the Office of Processing and Taxpayer Services or a major program operation. You would disseminate policies and guidelines within the scope of departmental policies and the directives of management; formulate goals, objectives, priorities, and work plans; direct the development of new and revised work processes and operating procedures; measure and monitor volume of work, efficiency of systems, and section production levels; and collaborate with counterparts in meeting the goals and objectives of the Department.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination to be considered for this position.
On or before the date of the examination, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance or the Division of Tax Appeals and have had 60 days of permanent competitive, non-competitive NY HELPS*, or 55-b/55-c service as shown below. If you have received a permanent appointment to a qualifying title listed and served provisionally** in that title immediately preceding your permanent appointment, such provisional service may be counted towards meeting the time in title required for this examination.
Either A. Taxpayer Services Administrator 2, Taxpayer Services Administrator 1, Tax Compliance Manager 4, Tax Compliance Manager 3, or Director Administrative Analysis 4;
Or
B. Tax Audit Administrator 1, or Tax Audit Administrator 2.
