Job Duties

As a Real Property Services Administrator 2, under the general direction of the Director Real Property Tax Services, manages a major program, and/or two or more regional offices; oversees the agency’s delivery of products and services, manages the day-to-day operations of the major program including personnel, budgeting, administrative matters, resource allocation planning, work priorities, and implementation of agency policy and plans; directs the development of systems to monitor and facilitate the day-to-day delivery of programs and services; coordinates and leads team efforts to map valuation processes and identify target areas for process improvement; responds to inquiries from assessors, county directors, and State officials; and participates in agency policy and strategic planning.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a civil service examination in order to be considered for this position.

On or before the date of the examination, the candidate must be a qualified employee of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance or New York State Division of Tax Appeals and have had one month permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as either a:  

A. Real Property Services Administrator 1 or Real Property Analyst 3


B. Taxpayer Services Specialist 4, Business Systems Analyst 4, or Taxpayer Services Administrator 1
