Job Duties

As a Head Recreation Therapist, you would plan, develop, implement, direct, and evaluate recreation therapy programs; administer program activities; develop and implement policies and procedures; establish and maintain performance standards; and organize training for subordinate staff.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.

On or before the date of the exam, you must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service, you must have three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Senior Recreation Therapist (including parenthetics).
