A Maintenance Assistant (Electrician) performs semiskilled activities in the repair, maintenance and installation of electrical systems and equipment, typically under the supervision of an Electrician. The electrical trade, for reasons of safety, requires care and precision in its performance following applicable electric code regulations.

This title is non-competitive. No examination is necessary. However, you must still meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position.
Candidates must have Two years of experience in electrical work under the supervision of a skilled Electrician, or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course in the electrical trade.
