Job Duties

As an Unemployment Insurance Program Manager 5, you would plan, organize, and direct the Division's UI benefit program statewide in accordance with both department policies and federal and State laws, rules and regulations; develop policies, procedures, and goals to implement and deliver statewide benefit programs; visit TCCs to observe, review and evaluate operations; develop and institute controls, reporting requirements, and training programs; work with staff of the Adjudication Services Office and Counsel's Office to resolve appeals on controversial cases; work with United States DOL national and regional representatives to ensure federal goals and standards are met; institute and maintain controls for the detection and prevention of fraud and collusion in the Statewide benefit program; prepare the benefit operation budget request; represent the Department and the Unemployment Insurance Division at State-level meetings of unions and business groups; coordinate benefit operations public awareness activities; and direct the investigation of high profile issues raised by Government officials, employers, claimants or unions.
