Job Duties

CHIEF MEDICAL FACILITIES AUDITOR:  incumbents participate in and/or are responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and follow-up of medical facilities audits and/or reviews; establishing priorities among pending cases and evaluation of manpower requirements; providing administrative supervision to assigned audit staff; resolving technical conflicts that may arise; reporting audit statuses to the Audit Director; and  handling and resolving audits through the litigation process.  Incumbents generally have responsibility over a region or regions, and/or serve as an Assistant Director to a larger bureau.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination to be considered for this position.

Promotion: one year of permanent competitive service as a Principal Medical Facilities Auditor; OR as a Management Specialist 3 or Management Specialist 3 (Children and Family Services); and 24 college credits in accounting.
