Summary of Job Description

As the Director Regulation and Compliance, you would report to the Executive Deputy Director and be responsible for oversight of the agency’s Internal Controls Program and its MWBE program and function as both the Commission’s Chief Risk Officer and Information Security Officer. You would be responsible for working with the Commission’s licensees and vendors to ensure compliance with the State’s and Commission’s regulations. You would work with agency management and the Office for Information Technology Services to identify data access risks, determine levels of acceptable risk, and, if necessary, develop procedures, steps or controls to mitigate risks. You would also work with agency management to identify, assess and mitigate other compliance issues.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service Examination in order to be considered for this position.

On or before the date of the examination, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree plus six years of qualifying experience. This experience must include experience in at least three of the following areas: evaluation of a program’s compliance with standards, rules, regulations, or laws; information security; information technology, including security program development; risk program development; and project management. In addition, at least four years of the qualifying experience must be as a supervisor or manager.

Substitution: A master’s degree may substitute for one year of the non-supervisory experience.
