Job Duties

As a Lottery Regional Manager 1, you would be responsible for sales and operational supervision in a Regional Office; the management, training and development of retailers; and administrative and budget activities. The duties might include: developing and implementing relevant promotions; oversight of regional operations; revising operating procedures; facilitating staff and regional meetings; oversight of Customer Service Center and licensing operations; researching, reviewing and drafting and/or analyzing proposed legislation; developing proposals; and evaluating training needs.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.

On or before the date of examination, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Gaming Commission and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Senior Lottery Marketing Specialist, Regional Sales Program Coordinator, Assistant Lottery Regional Director 1, Lottery Marketing Specialist, Supervising Lottery Marketing Representative, Assistant Lottery Regional Director 2, or as a Lottery Marketing Representative 1.
