As a Health Program Administrator, in general, you may be responsible for various budgetary, personnel, administrative and supervisory functions for your program. In addition you may, depending on program area, act as program liaison to other programs, agencies and organizations as they are involved with your program area; provide direction to program staff involved in a wide range of field or central office activities; collect and analyze data or information and develop reports/recommendations regarding program activities or responsibilities; develop program policies, procedures and standards; review workload statistics, assess program impact and develop proposed strategies for resolving identified problems; oversee or conduct the process of establishing contracts to meet program needs and review contract effectiveness and fiscal appropriateness; establish and maintain/oversee systems for control of program accomplishment; review and develop recommendations regarding existing or proposed policy, rules and regulations and draft proposed revisions; develop and oversee information systems required by a program and administer program functions, as directed by your supervisor.
