Job Duties
ASSISTED OUTPATIENT TREATMENT COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST 2:
- Disseminates information on procedures and policies;
- Provides guidance and technical implementation assistance to the County Mental Health Directors, instructing these groups in appropriate referral methods, and planning and conducting meetings of County Directors, patient advocacy groups, family members and the general public to discuss procedures;
- Monitors specialized individual treatment plans developed by County Mental Health programs;
- Evaluates performance of each County in relationship to cases referred to determine if referrals were appropriate, if proper case management was assigned and carried out, if individual received appropriate therapy, if supervised living arrangements were provided, and if the individual was provided with education and vocational services;
- Receives, reviews and forwards quarterly reports on implementation from local/County Directors;
- Receives and processes information regarding the distribution of grant monies available to counties for medication;
- Reviews grants for each County in their assigned area and prepares information for County Director's use in utilizing grant monies including identifying problems requiring corrective action, and coordinates the development and dissemination of guidelines for the negotiation and execution of grant monies with agency fiscal and legal bureaus;
- Reviews County level complaints and grievances to determine validity;
- Supervises AOT Compliance Specialists 1 within assigned region.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

This title is non-competitive. No examination is necessary. However, you must still meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a human service or clinical discipline, such as Psychology, Social Work, etc. OR an RN;
- at least four years of post degree professional clinical experience, working in a mental health setting. Two years of professional experience (either as part of, or in addition to, the qualifying general experience) must have included substantial engagement in one or more of the following activities:
- mental health program administration, management or supervision;
- planning, development, or coordination of forensic, community-based, or high risk/high need mental health services/systems.
A Master’s Degree in a human service or clinical discipline may be substituted for one year of the general experience.
