As an Assistant Director Utilities Management, you would:
·Implement procedural changes and assess the operation of all utilities related functions across the Albany or regional facility portfolio.
·Coordinate and assemble energy and/or utilities related budget and project requests, and submit to the Director Utilities Management with specific recommendations.
·Implement all schedules for the inspection, repair, and rehabilitation of utility equipment.
·Conduct energy surveys, develop programs for energy conservation, and recommend latest available technology as required.
·Perform the full range of administrative supervisory responsibilities.
·When assigned to direct regional facilities utilities operations and statewide energy management:
·Investigate, review, and develop new opportunities to realize efficiency in the purchasing of energy.
·Work with energy providers and public utilities across the state to take advantage of utility program offerings (e.g., demand and emergency demand side management, special case resources, etc.).
·Work with the New York Power Authority, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, Energy Services Company, and vendors to take advantage of energy project incentives and rebates as they relate to projects and product procurement.
·Oversee the web enabled advanced metering system.
