As a Social Work Supervisor 1 (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), you would be responsible for administrative and clinical supervision of professional and paraprofessional social work staff. In addition, you may oversee a social work department's administrative and reporting functions, including fiscal, human resources, program statistical, reports and other support services.

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.
For qualified employees of New York State on or before the date of the examination, you must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as follows:
Licensed Master Social Worker 2, Licensed Master Social Worker 2 (Spanish Language), Licensed Master Social Worker 2 (Chinese Language), Licensed Master Social Worker 2 (Korean Language), or Licensed Master Worker 2 (Manual Communications), AND; you must also be currently licensed and registered as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State and clearly indicate this on the application form. At the time of interview, you may be required to provide a copy of your credentials to the appointing authority.
