As a Program Operations Specialist 2, you would independently perform professional, administrative, and technical duties to promote the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. You may also supervise Program Operations Specialists 1 and other staff engaged in these activities.

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.
On or before the date of the examination, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as follows:
Either A. Program Operations Specialist 1;
Or B. Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1, Mental Hygiene Program Evaluation Specialist 2, Resources and Reimbursement Program Development Specialist 1, Standards Compliance Analyst 1, Standards Compliance Analyst 1 (Developmental Disabilities), or Utilization Review Coordinator.
