As a Children and Family Services Program Manager 2, you would provide management and supervision to a division or bureau in the oversight, monitoring, and provision of technical assistance to youth in the care of OCFS, youth in programs administered by OCFS, or in family services programs monitored or overseen by OCFS for compliance with requirements and regulations to ensure consistency and continuity. You would manage two or more Statewide programs, or manage a large Statewide program and participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote compliance with rules and regulations for the continued participation in the funding of programs and services.

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.
On or before the date of the examination, the candidate must be a qualified employee of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Children and Family Services Specialist 2, Children and Family Services Specialist 2 (Permanency Services), Adoption Specialist, Youth Counselor 3, Child Protective Services Specialist 3, or a Children and Family Services Program Manager 1.
