Job Duties

As a Medical Assistance Specialist 3, you would supervise a unit of multiple Medical Assistance Specialist 2's and lower-level staff responsible for a significant Medicaid or other public health insurance program, or a portion of a larger program area; develop and implement policies and procedures related to various aspects of public health insurance programs; and represent the Department of Health on various work groups and cross-functional teams.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

You must take and pass a Civil Service examination in order to be considered for this position.

On or before the date of the examination, you must be a qualified employee of the New York State Department of Health and have had 45 days of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a:
